Natural Language Processing Researcher
Building trustworthy AI systems for a multilingual world
I am a Master's student in Computer Science at the University of Macau, working at the intersection of explainable artificial intelligence and natural language processing. My research addresses fundamental challenges in making large language models more transparent, reliable, and accessible across diverse languages.
Currently, I serve as a Research Assistant at the NLP & Portuguese–Chinese Machine Translation Laboratory, where I develop methods for hallucination detection in LLMs and build robust translation systems for low-resource languages. My work aims to democratize language technology and ensure AI systems serve diverse linguistic communities equitably.
Research Focus
Explainable AI
Developing interpretable methods for understanding LLM decision-making and building trustworthy AI systems
Hallucination Detection
Creating robust mechanisms to identify and mitigate false information generation in large language models
Multilingual NLP
Advancing machine translation for low-resource languages to bridge linguistic divides
